- passed / past --> I walked past Dr. Walker. I passed Dr. Walker in the hall.
- moral / morale --> The cupcakes were an excellent boost for the team's morale. The moral of the story was to be careful who to trust.
- stationary / stationery --> The teacher used pretty stationery to send home progress reports. A fire hydrant is stationary; it cannot be moved.
- lead / led / lead --> The drum major will lead the band. The teacher led the class to the auditorium. The lead in my pencil broke.
