* Conference about current grades (with bib cards affecting grading period percentage)
* Work on bib cards and note cards (goal: 10 note cards and 1 bib card for today)
* Next due date: Wednesday, 1/16 at the END of the period. Bib and note cards WILL NOT be accepted past this date.
* Vocab lessons 3-4 due tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/15.

Research Paper Notes, Jan. 2

Remember, for your research paper, you will need the following:

• 60 note cards (1 fact per card)
• 6 bib (source) cards
• Outline
• Rough draft (1,000 words)
• Final copy (1,000 words)
• Presentation, including visual aid

For a book bib card, you will need:

• Author
• Title
• Place Published
• Publisher
• Year

For an internet bib card, you will need:

• Author (if listed)
• Title of document (page)
• Name of database or website
• Date updated
• Name of sponsoring institution
• Date information was accessed
• Website address in carrots < >

Note cards

You will need a couple packs of note cards for this class. You will primarily need note cards when doing research. The format for writing note cards is as follows:

Subject of the fact on this card (top, left corner)

Source number (top, right corner)

The fact itself – only one fact per card (middle of the card)

Citation, including author’s last name and page number (bottom, right corner)

Again, you’ll receive more information on this as it becomes necessary.
