Daily Agenda 9/11

Today, this is what we accomplished...

  • we discussed ins and outs of having a substitute teacher rather than the full-time teacher.
  • we turned in three items: bellringers from last week ("bellringers, week 4"); vocabulary lessons 5-6 (from last week) or 7-8 (this week); and Frederick Douglass ch. 5-9 journals (due last Thursday--sub didn't collect).
  • we received current grade slips with place for parent signature -- should return signed ASAP
  • we received graded papers (ch. 5-9 test; vocabulary lessons 3-4; bellringers, week 3); please do not throw anything away -- save your graded papers!!!
  • teacher encouraged students to visit class website (http://english9h.blogspot.com/) to print out test questions for ch. 11 & appendix; take notes during reading time
  • we listened to the agenda for the upcoming week (M: read Frederick Douglass ch. 11 & Appendix; T: read Frederick Douglass ch. 11 & Appendix, turn in vocabulary lessons 7-8; W: open student discussion over test questions (student-led discussion); R: flex day / activity day, receive project description for autobiographical/short story piece; F: test, ch. 11 & appendix)
  • we read for approximately 20 minutes; tomorrow's reading time will be determined by noise level during the reading time
